Essential Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of mission-critical software, data, and integration solutions for Patagonia Health’s SaaS-based EHR, ensuring alignment with healthcare industry standards (HL7, CCD, FHIR).
- Interpret customer requests to align technical capabilities and business workflows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze detailed business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and user stories.
- Evaluate solution alternatives, create prototypes, and conduct solution demos.
- Manage project kickoffs, drive multiple projects through the entire delivery process, and maintain clear communication of development status, release notes, and feature documentation.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure solutions meet client needs, adhere to project timelines, and address any technical questions or concerns.
- Oversee testing and integration processes, including user acceptance testing (UAT), and resolve interface-related issues during testing and post-go-live.
- Provide ongoing client support, maintain comprehensive documentation (functional specifications, technical design documents, user manuals), and ensure user satisfaction.
- Manage and mentor team members, including off-site and offshore resources, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Hands-on experience with healthcare interface development and integration (Mirth or similar interface engines).
- Hands-on experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Strong knowledge of healthcare standards such as HL7, CCDA, and FHIR.
- Experience working with immunization registries, health information exchanges or lab interfaces.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience leading and mentoring a development team, including off-site and offshore staff.
- Proficiency in C#, JavaScript, and MS SQL Server are a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of professional software development experience with at least 2 years of experience managing engineering or development teams as a Technical Lead or Manager.
- Bachelor's Degree.
