Family Child Care Recruiter - Oahu

Summary

PATCH is seeking an individual to be responsible for recruiting and providing technical assistance to individuals interested in becoming family child care providers.

Duties

• Maintains a tracking system that follow a potential family child care provider from the initial phone call to becoming a child care provider.
• Conducts home visits to provide technical assistance to potential family child care providers to assist them in offering quality child care in their homes.
• Conducts outreach activities to identify potential family child care providers and to promote the business of family child care.
• Connect potential family child care providers with other community resources that can assist them in their process of becoming a family child care provider.

Requirements

• Must be organized and able to pay close attention to detail.
• Requires relating to people in a friendly and professional manner with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Requires working to establish procedures and the ability to be prompt and on time.
• Requires working under minimal supervision.
• Must possess a valid Hawaii driver's license with access to an insured vehicle. The employee is require d to use their person vehicle and must be willing to travel to various locations for home visits.
• Associates Degree in early childhood education or related field.
• Experience working with young children.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of the State of Hawaii child care licensing requirements is highly preferred.
Previous experience as a child care provider highly preferred.
