What are the responsibilities and job description for the Space Operations and Training Development SME position at PatchPlus Consulting, Inc.?
PPC is seeking an experienced Space Operations expert to support development and training for the Rapid Resilient Command and Control (R2C2) Common Ground system for the US Space Force (USSF) Orbital Warfare mission. Tasks will include developing and providing Instructional Systems Design complaint training, supporting and designing test/exercise scenarios to help mature software, and supporting system development and requirements analysis. Candidates local to Colorado Springs preferred, but remote work will be considered for HIGHLY QUALIFIED applicants.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
- Provide Operator/Mission Planner perspective to software development teams to help them understand system needs/requirements
- Consult on User Interfaces/User Experience/ (UI/UX) with design teams
- Develop ISD compliant training for the R2C2 Ground System components
- Support Agile Development cadence
- Deliver contractor led training on the R2C2 Ground System
- Support R2C2 Mission Partner integration/adoption and integrated training (Common and mission unique elements)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain program level access
- Tactical space experience (Operational C2 (NSDC/CSPOC) highly desired)
- Experience with Satellite Command and Control (Orbital Warfare specifically is desired)
- Minimum of 5-years in military space operations & 2-years DoD Training/instruction
- BA or BS degree (Master’s degree desired)
- Expert in engagement with multiple DoD Space organizations (SpOC, STARCOM, SSC/SpRCO, USSF, USSPACECOM or equivalent predecessors)
- Demonstrated tactical and operational experience in military (Joint or Service) planning and conducting military training activities (Strategic level desired)
- Experience with Satellite Command and Control (Orbital Warfare specifically is desired)
- Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within small project teams, including team interaction and presentations.
- Robust knowledge of orbital mechanics
- Experience maintaining curriculum standards for educational material depth and breadth
- 3 years of experience in Space C2 operations and 2 years of experience teaching and/or performing curriculum development
- Ability to perform needs assessments for the various target audiences
- Must be able to develop new course materials from scratch or update existing materials following updates to system prototype and longer term fielded software
- Weapons School Graduate (Patch) HIGHLY DESIRED.
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
