What are the responsibilities and job description for the AM Line Cook position at Patchwork?
Patchwork Philly is looking for an AM Line cook for our restaurant in Center City
Patchwork is located in the Hyatt Centric and serves breakfast and dinner to guests of the hotel and the neighborhood at large. We do American cuisine with Italian and French influences, and we also operate the hotel's market, breakfast buffet, and banquet spaces.
The AM Line Cook position is responsible for the daily prep and execution of the breakfast buffet and a la carte menu. The menu consists of standard breakfast staples like eggs, bacon, omelettes, pancakes, etc... as well as some specialty items like grain bowls, benedicts, and chia seed pudding. During the week it is a solo position with help from the AM prep cook, and on the weekends we do brunch and have two cooks running the line
The schedule is full time, with a very early start time. Line cooks arrive around 5:30am at latest, and leave between 12:30pm and 2pm. A sample schedule is included below. The AM line cooks are the first to arrive in the morning, so attendance is very important, and all call-outs are expected to be a minimum of 12hrs in advance so the chefs can fill in.
Breakfast service is from 6:30am - 10:30am from Mon - Fri, and Brunch service is from 7am -1pm Sat & Sun. All other time on the schedule is allocated for setting up and breaking down the station, as well as prep
