What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025-2026 Functional Skills (K-2) Special Education Teacher position at Pate Early Childhood?
The Aurora R-VIII School District is currently accepting applications for a full-time K-2 functional skills special education teacher for 2025-2026. Knowledge of the special education process and providing specialized services for students are required. Knowledge of behavior interventions is needed as well as collaborating/consulting with other specialists. Managing a team of paras is also required. This person will need to have good communication skills and be willing to help diaper/potty-train students.
It would be beneficial for applicants to have certification in special education along with either elementary or early childhood. Aurora students attend school Monday-Thursday (4 days a week only).
