- Respite Providers work one-on-one with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities to help them achieve more independent lives
- Respite time allows full time caregivers the opportunity to take a break, while helping the Consumer interact with others and continue to meet their goals
- Respite Providers enjoy doing a job they describe as ‘not really work’ because they are taking clients shopping, bowling, to the movies, to restaurants or a variety of other activities that allow our clients to be more included in social situations and build relationships
- You could help educate the community about people with disabilities through your work with PFK, just through companionship with our clients
- Lack of experience is not a problem, we are here to help you succeed – in class paid training and online courses are available
- Work another job? Taking college classes? As an Independent Contractor, you make your own schedule
The ideal Respite Provider is compassionate, flexible, has a current driver’s license with reliable transportation, cell phone, access to the internet and data entry skills.
Path Forward of Kentucky provides supported employment, job coaching, respite, Family Home Providers, and community living supports for children and/or adults with disabilities. We serve individuals on three Medicare Waivers. Visit our website at www.pathforwardky.com

Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
- Weekends only
