JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Technician to inspect products from first article through finished goods in accordance with customer specifications and company quality standards. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented professional who ensures adherence to quality procedures and maintains accurate documentation throughout the production process.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform inspection of precision machined parts, including reading blueprints, material specifications, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
· Create and maintain inspection records and quality reports.
· Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
· Conduct and document first article inspections as required.
· Use precision measurement tools to identify and help resolve process or machinery issues affecting quality.
· Communicate inspection results with machinists and collaborate to correct discrepancies.
· Assist with calibration system management and recordkeeping.
· Monitor and analyze reject, scrap, and rework data to support continuous improvement.
· Perform final audit inspections on completed parts.
· Manage multiple inspection tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· Minimum of 3 year’s experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
· Experience with CMM and Keyence Vision System programming preferred.
· Skilled in using inspection tools and gauges such as micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, optical comparators, microscopes, CMMs, and vision systems.
· Legally authorized to work in the United States.
· Strong proficiency in precision measurement and identifying defects or non-conformities.
· Excellent documentation and data collection skills.
· Effective communication and collaboration with production teams.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to stand for up to 90% of the shift.
- Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Requires good manual dexterity for handling tools and small parts.
ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES:
- Hearing and vision protection required in all areas.
- Closed toe shoes are required in all areas.
- Exposure to oil, grease, dust, metal particles, sparks, sharp-edged materials.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
- Regular exposure to potential workplace hazards; appropriate PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, sleeves, close-toed shoes, and protective clothing is required.
