Description
Come join our growing staff in the Housekeeping Department. The Housekeeper at The Summit Resort performs three general functions: 1) Cleans assigned guest rooms for check in, 2) Services assigned occupied rooms and 3) Responds to guest requests as they arise during the work day.
- Ensures proper stocking, organization and functioning of supply bag, cleaning caddy, vacuum, and lockers at the start and end of each day.
- Ensures the cleanliness and proper wear of uniform.
- Evaluates assignment list for the day, and plans its execution in the most efficient way possible.
- Works in teams or alone to execute assignment list.
- Is capable of differentiating a used room from one that is clean, properly equipped and formatted, and ready for guest check-in.
- Knows how to complete the 4 basic tasks of turning a room: stripping, cleaning, stocking and formatting.
- Knows how to perform these 4 basic tasks on every sub-section of a room.
- Can perform these room-turn tasks to a high quality standard, and consistently perform them an established time standard.
- Can execute a proper maid service—both full and rental—to achieve maximal guest service.
- Logs maid services properly using designated maid service log.
- Alerts Houseman on-duty when deficiencies in closet or room resources impede housekeeping tasks.
- Recognizes issues that require Manager attention, and alerts Manager On Duty as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Possesses ability to comprehend and communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and via radio.
- Ability to endure strenuous physical activity, including but not limited to: lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, moving furniture in order to clean around it, traversing stairs and step stools safely, and engaging in repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of attentiveness to detail over an entire shift (up to 10 hours).
