Job Summary :
As a Job Coach at Pathfinder, you play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting individuals on their community employment journey. This includes hands-on training, monitoring, and providing adjustment assistance to those who have secured employment. Additionally, you may deliver Pre-Employment Transition Services to students aged 14-22, helping them prepare for future workplace opportunities. Your efforts ensure individuals integrate seamlessly into their workplaces, adapting to employer policies, procedures, and standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Workplace Integration : Facilitate orientation to employer policies, procedures, and workplace standards, ensuring a smooth transition into new roles.
On-Site Training and Support : Provide continuous, hands-on training to promote job proficiency, improve performance, and address specific challenges or needs.
Collaboration : Maintain regular communication with the Employment Specialist, Case Coordinator, and / or Lead Employment Specialist to provide detailed updates, address performance issues, and resolve behavioral concerns.
Documentation : Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time, meeting the standards of both Pathfinder and the employer.
Liaison Role : Act as a point of contact between the Financial Opportunity Center and community employers to ensure a consistent flow of information about individuals' job performance.
Transportation Assistance : Safely operate a motor vehicle to transport individuals to and from their job sites as needed.
Advocacy and Socialization : Guide individuals in self-advocacy and foster appropriate social interactions within their workplace to promote independence and inclusivity.
