Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Specimen Collector to join our team at PathGroup. As a vital member of our Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-office Phlebotomy (IOP), you will be responsible for collecting clinical and forensic specimens accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers professionally, treating all with courtesy and respect.
- Ensure timely and accurate collection of field phlebotomy and PSC specimens.
- Collect and process specimens according to established procedures, clearly explaining the process to patients when required.
- Dispose of biohazard materials properly, adhering to relevant laws and standards.
- Accurately complete requisitions and enter patient information into the computer system.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Phlebotomist Certification is desirable, especially in Louisiana.
- Prior experience in a related role is advantageous.
