What are the responsibilities and job description for the Death Investigator Assistant position at PATHGROUP?
This person will be primarily responsible for assisting the investigative department with daily
clerical tasks such as data entry of cremation permits, requesting records for Medical Examiner
cases, uploading received records into our database, and calling funeral homes/crematories to
coordinate the release of bodies. The assistant will be responsible for releasing the decedents and
their personal property to funeral home staff while providing courteous, high-quality service.
