- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of previous general hematopathology experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy
- Demonstrated verbal and written command of the English language; Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and function as part of a team
- Ability to comply with HIPAA regulations
- Working knowledge of computer applications
- Demonstrated customer service focused skills
- Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks in a limited time frame
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment
- Receive calls from clients and act on their requests
- Monitor and responds to emails in shared inbox
- Triage issues and client requests to other departments, and escalate to Hematopathologists as needed
- Receive morphology cases from PBM Histology
- Monitor progress on cases via electronic tracking reports and create final comprehensive assignments for Hematopathologists.
- Pull slides and print reports from patients’ previous cases for review and comparison with current specimen
- Assigns cases to the Hematopathologists based on their schedule and rotations
- Receive paperwork and slides from Hematopathologists, and monitor/distribute as appropriate
- Prepare slides, blocks, reports, and letters for send-out consultations and monitor them for timely reporting and return to requesting pathologist
- Receive and monitor fax requests; including but not limited to add on tests and slide requests from outside facilities
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
