Job Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- This position will report to the Chief Genomics Officer and could carry a leadership role for the right individual.
- Sign out of molecular oncology and cancer genomics assays to include NGS, FISH, and other assays as deemed appropriate.
- Tissue assessment and test optimization for enterprise cases accessioned under at Airpark.
- Sign out of CDX IHC assays as related to the practice of Precision Oncology.
- Assist medical leadership in medical strategy of molecular pathology services in collaboration with other operational, medical, scientific, and commercial leadership.
- Assist with managing the clinical service workload distribution for Airpark molecular pathology and oncology services.
- Assist with enterprise client interactions and consultations related to Airpark molecular pathology and oncology services.
- Assist with questions and consultations from the Airpark laboratory operations team.
- Assist with enterprise physician education and technical updates related to Precision Oncology.
- Assist with clinical pathology service efforts (peripheral smear review, electrophoresis) as needed.
- Work with other departments within PathGroup and subsidiaries.

- Board Certification in anatomic and clinical pathology with subspecialty certification in molecular genetic pathology.
- Must hold a valid Tennessee Laboratory Directors License or State eligible.
- Board certification in hematopathology is a plus but not required.
