We are looking for a skilled Phlebotomist I to join our team at PathGroup. This position involves performing daily phlebotomy activities accurately and on time, interacting with patients and healthcare professionals in a professional and courteous manner, and performing forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients appropriately and treat them in a courteous manner.
- Collect specimens accurately and on time, following established procedures.
- Properly explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection methods to patients.
- Dispose of biohazard materials and contaminated sharps in accordance with applicable laws and policies.
- Complete requisitions accurately and enter patient information into the computer system.
