Medical Billing A/R Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing denials and denial reasons, investigate claims and reach out to payers to get the resolution. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to navigate various medical billing software.

Duties

Under the direct supervision of the Billing Manager, the Appeal and Complex denial Management Specialist is responsible to:

• Systematically Investigate each denial and compile appeals for corrected claims which has previously been denied by payers.
• Proactively Monitor and keep up with appeals work que .
• Uncover trends by one or more insurance carriers and recommend the process to prevent or reduce the risk of future claims denials.
• Work closely with AR and other teams in the Business Office to help with their workload when needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager as per business needs

Requirements:

Education:
High School Required, Associate Degree preferred

Coding education required, Coding certification would be a plus

Experience:
3-5 years of denial and appeals working experience in physician billing or Pathology service line- Required
working knowledge and familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 codes required

Based on the years of experience , education and skill set
