Summary: This role will perform building repairs. The Foreman will delegate work to and supervise a team of Maintenance Technicians. The Foreman must have a clear understanding of worksite safety to efficiently manage the completion of assigned work details, which will be assigned to the staff. The role will report to the RMS Field Manager.

Essential functions/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the following
- Perform construction type work (i.e.: plastering, painting, carpentry, dry walling, flooring, electrical, plumbing, etc.) when assigned
- Supervise a group of hourly personnel
- Delegate tasks and provide leadership to staff members
- Distribute labor assignments for each day
- Inspect completed work of staff members when needed
- Travel to assignments in the Tristate area and special projects out of state (i.e.: Rhode Island, Massachusetts, NJ, etc.)
- Train new hires
- Order materials needed to complete assigned work orders
- Evaluate job site and ensure team safety
- Evaluate work orders
- Report attendance
- Be able to prepare units in preparation for REAC, HQS Inspections and HUD inspections
- Ad hoc assignments/duties
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a Foreman
- High school graduate and/or GED equivalent or higher is required
- Must be willing to travel out of NY State and within NY for assigned duties
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Possess at least 3 years of painting and electrical experience
- Strong communication skills
- At least 2 years’ experience managing staff
- OSHA certified preferred
- Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish is required
- Knowledge of PPE requirements and ensure compliance of the team
- Ability to work in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.)
- Knowledge of REAC and HUD inspections
