Overview
Responsible for the supervision, coordination, administration, development and daily oversight of the DOL (Department of Labor), Emergency Housing Program; its grant, activities and objectives. Coordinate activities with the Training and Employment, and other PathStone Programs and Divisions.
Responsibilities
Researches, develops and compiles informational material appropriate for use with farmworker community. Prepares reports for funding sources for Director’s Approval. Attaining familiarly with growers, farmworkers, and rural residents. Established linkages and serves on coalitions to coordinate with other relevant programs and agencies. Liaison to funding sources. Collaborates with staff, volunteers, and management team to accomplish program goals. Provides training to participants as required. Screens telephone calls and maintains message system on an as needed basis. Disseminates special program information to field offices and communities. Updates staff on special programs at field operations meetings, when required. Develop, analyze, distribute and evaluate program goals and objectives. Tracks budget and processes program expenditures, i.e., mileage, Cashflow reimbursements, time sheets, etc. according to prescribed procedures. Order supplies and data forms. Direct assistance to the Director in program planning. Coordinate, develop, and complete appropriate and required activities in an accurate and timely manner. Acquisition of full knowledge, including eligibility criteria, of all services available through PathStone. Track participant outcomes and data per requirements. Maintain complete and accurate records and files. Type and proofread official and routine correspondence for special programs. Attendance at agency staff meetings and other agency meetings. Must have the ability to safeguard confidential and sensitive information. Acts as an advocate and facilitator to assure farmworker access to public services and benefits for which they are eligible.
Skills
Position requires at least two to three years of education or training and/or experience in the fields of occupational safety, health, and/or human services. Knowledge of the agricultural community and its health and safety related problems are also required. Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively. Must acquire knowledge concerning ethnic composition and primary language of the work force.
