Pathway Healthcare Front Desk Receptionists are welcoming, friendly, and assertive. They are responsible for managing incoming phone calls, checking patients in and out, collecting accurate payment from insured and uninsured patients, and recording patient communication and monetary interactions appropriately. The Front Desk Receptionist will be in frequent contact with insurance companies for benefit verification and prior authorization purposes.
Front Desk Receptionist candidates must be proficient in the following:
- Professional Etiquette (In person and on phone)
- Electronic Medical Record management
- Insurance benefit verification
- Data entry
- Medical terminology
- Prior authorization and referral management
- HIPAA and privacy laws compliance
Previous Experience/Educational Requirements
- Previous experience as a receptionist in a medical office environment is highly preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
