In-home tutor for children with autism / special needs.
18 to $20 / Hour (approx. $40.160 a year for Full-Time position)
2 Weeks Paid Vacation Time!
Full-Time and Part-TIme - Positions open in ORLANDO / HUNTER CREEK / KISSIMMEE / CLERMONT / WINTER GARDEN / METROWEST Area
At Pathway, we are looking for creative and passionate teachers who are looking to impact and change the lives of students with autism and special needs. As a teacher, you will provide one-on-one classes to students of various ages and skill levels in the homes of families or at a single location (Orlando -Conway).
Please be aware that this job requires driving from home to home, and reliable transportation is a requirement.
Responsibilities :
Provide one-on-one classes to students of various ages and skill levels
Assess students' learning needs and develop personalized lesson plans
Utilize learning technology and educational resources in the classroom
Communicate effectively to provide progress updates and address any concerns
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
Support students in developing foundational skills
Requirements :
Valid Florida Drivers Licence
Reliable Transportation
Teaching / tutoring experience
Lesson Planning experience
Must be native fluency in English (Any experience in Spanish or Portuguese is also a huge plus)
Note : RBT or Special Education experience is a plus but not required
Preferred : Experience with children with autism / special needs
Must pass a background check and screening / drug Test prior to onboarding
Skills :
Patience, empathy, and the ability to establish rapport with students of all ages
Independent and Reliable
Flexibility to adapt teaching methods based on individual student needs
Strong organizational skills to track student progress and maintain records
