Job Title: Business Development
Reports To: CEO/Admin
Status: Non-exempt
Qualifications:
- Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, and Public Relations. .
- 1-2 yrs. prior experience in marketing field, working with press releases, collateral materials, web page design/maintenance, design work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Working knowledge of computer software including but not limited to MS Word, Publisher, and Excel.
- Owns reliable transportation and has a valid South Carolina driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
- Decision-making and problem solving skills.
- Ability to maintain high level of integrity, accountability and confidentiality in one’s work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Specific Duties:
- Serve as staff assistant for ongoing “future focused” projects.
- Updates and maintains database of all constituents groups assuring that all “hot list” and potential “hot list” clients are on the database. Changes the data base to reflect staffing changes in other agencies. Assures no duplication of entries.
- Maintains data bank of e-mail addresses to assure 100% of “hot list” is included.
- Assumes responsibility for the implementation of activities culminating in planned special events.
- Assists in the planning of special events including but not limited to identification of venue, vendor contracting, oversees turn out activities, distribution of collateral material, and serves as “point person” during event.
- Serves as media contact.
- Assures excellence and completion of direct mail portion of marketing plan.
- Coordinates compilation of material for external newsletter, according to the schedule and follows through with contracted vendors to assure timely delivery.
- Provides clerical assistance to Marketing/Business Development Team including typing, filing, phone calls, appointment scheduling.
- Assures availability of collateral materials including business cards and brochures. Reorders when necessary.
- Participates as a Pathway Hospice representative to the community as requested to promote a deeper understanding of palliative care and Pathway Hospice’s vision and mission.
- Performs all duties in compliance with Pathway Hospice policy and procedures.
- Participates in Pathway Hospice’s orientation and training program for new employees and attends 12 Pathway Hospice in-services per year.
- May provide support services for fundraising activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Attends Administrative Staff meetings and other meetings as required

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
