Our client is a highly successful specialty chemical manufacturer and has an opportunity for a motivated individual to join their talented team.
Location: They are looking for someone based in an area that makes travel efficient and who enjoys regularly visiting key accounts in their territory.
Territory: New England: ME, VT, NH, MA, CT and RI.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
- Cultivate a strong and loyal distributor network and customer base to achieve broad distribution of Bell professional product lines.
- Make regular customer visits throughout the entire territory. Arrange 4-6 customer visits per day including distributors, PMPs and municipalities.
- Introduce new products to pest control distributors and operators.
- Provide technical training to distributor sales representatives and pest control operators.
- Work with pest management professionals doing field work inspections for problem accounts.
- Give presentations at association meetings, conferences and distributor events.
- Attend appropriate industry and distributor trade shows.
- Develop and implement an annual business plan.
- Communicate with your supervisor on a regular basis.
- Travel throughout the territory in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business/marketing.
- Sales experience selling to an established distribution network is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and follow through.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Computer literate with solid skills in PowerPoint/Keynote and customer database management systems.
- Public speaking ability.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
