Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the billing process for our medical services, ensuring accuracy in billing and coding, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate billing claims from Therap to HHA.
- Review patient records and ensure all services rendered are properly documented.
- Utilize ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
- Rebill items if there are errors
- Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with medical office staff to resolve billing discrepancies or issues.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
Experience
- Previous experience with Therap and HHA billing is preferred
- Familiarity with ICD-10 codes and Medicaid billing codes.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in billing processes.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with admin team, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
