We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Part-Time Grant Writer to join our team. The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting compelling grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government entities. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and a passion for advancing our organization.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Grant Research and Identification: Identify and research potential grant opportunities that align with the organization’s goals and funding needs.
- Proposal Writing: Develop, write, and edit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents tailored to funders’ guidelines and priorities.
- Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit grant reports, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and deadlines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with program staff and leadership to gather relevant program data, outcomes, and financial information for proposals and reports.
- Database Management: Maintain accurate records of all grant activities, including deadlines, submissions, and communications, in the organization’s database or grant tracking system.
- Funder Relationships: Support the development and maintenance of relationships with funders through effective communication and updates.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in English communication, non-profit management, or a relate field.
· 2 years of professional grant writing experience preferred.
· Proven experience in grant writing and securing funding from foundations, corporations, or government sources.
Preferred Skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to craft persuasive narratives.
· Strong research and analytical skills for identifying funding opportunities.
