We are looking to hire a Bus Monitor to supervise children and ensure safety during morning and afternoon bus routes. The ideal candidate has experience with young children.

25 hours a week 52 weeks per year- Gloucester MA
WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A BUS MONITOR?
- Maintain an orderly and safe environment for all children on the bus
- Assist with the buckling of all children and that they remain seated and buckled while bus is in motion
- Practice safe loading and unloading procedures
- Monitor behavior of students and provide interactive supports when needed
- Assist and direct children in an emergency situation which could result in an evacuation
WHAT DO I NEED TO BE A BUS MONITOR?
- Must be able to access reliable transportation and travel between Pathways centers in Salem, Beverly and Gloucester
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, sit for extended periods, cover moderate distances
- Complete and pass yearly physical with DOT certified physician; over 70 years of age must 2 physicals per calendar year and proof of immunizations
- Must maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Maintain a clean driving record; checked annually
- Maintain licensor background check requirements
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
