Pathways Health Partners is an Accountable Care Organization (ACO) on the forefront of helping independent providers make the transition to Value-Based Care. Pathways operates a Medicare REACH ACO, a Medicare Advantage MSO, a Commercial MSO responsible for approximately 20,000 patients throughout North-West/Central Florida. Our service area is The Villages, down to St. Petersburg, across to Mount Dora, and areas in between. Pathways also operates a robust hospital medicine group, manages several of its affiliated medical practices, and an insurance agency.
Position Responsibilities:

Specific:
- Accurately document patient encounters, including history, examination, assessment, and plan of care, in the EHR system during patient visits
- Assist with rooming patients, taking vital signs, and preparing patients for examination
- Perform basic medical assistant tasks such as drawing blood, administering injections, and assisting with minor procedures as needed
- Enter patient data, update medical records, and ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and complies with regulatory standards
- Facilitate communication between the provider, patient, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care
- Assist with ordering tests, processing lab results, and coordinating referrals as directed by the healthcare provider
- Provide patients with instructions related to their care, including medication administration, follow-up appointments, and health management strategies
- Assist with general office duties, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and managing patient flow to ensure a smooth operation of the clinic
- Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Qualifications/Position Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification is preferred
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in primary care, is preferred. Prior experience as a scribe is a plus.
- Certification/Licensure: Certified Medical Assistant at time of hire or within six months of hire preferred. CPR/AED/First or BLS at time of hire or within 30 days of hire.
- Training and Knowledge Required at Time of Hire: CPR/AED/First Aid knowledge. Strong customer service/patient care skills. Computer skills including knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, email, phone, texting, EMRs
