Pathways In Education (PIE) is a public charter school serving grades 9-12 in the Nampa and Meridian communities. Pathways considers the unique needs of every student, allowing access to small group classes, guided independent study, online courses, and experiential learning, to address each student's individual strengths and needs.

PIE is looking for educators and staff that are warm, outgoing, authentic, passionate and inspiring. PIE places great emphasis on the student-teacher relationship, a critical component to the development of students’ personal, emotional, and academic well-being.
Pathways In Education is looking for a School Social Worker for their Nampa site. We are offering a $5k Signing Bonus for this position.
The Social Worker will have the following responsibilities:
- Identifies scientifically supported educational, behavioral, and mental health services to address school needs.
- Offers specialized programs and services, including crisis intervention and consultation, that foster social and emotional competencies in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Utilize school and community resources to enhance academic and behavioral success, contributing to a safe and healthy school environment.
- Promotes policies, programs, and services that honor diversity, meet individual needs, and uphold the inherent dignity and worth of all students, families, and school staff.
- Establish collaborative professional relationships within the school, community, and universities to support and develop the school social work program.
- Supports homeless students and families that meet the McKinney-Vento Act's requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator of Student Support Services.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of social work theory, practice, and research to implement programs and services in school.
- Ability to conduct multi-tiered school needs assessment.
- Adheres to the standards and practices requirements set by the State Education Agency.
- Adheres to the NASW Code of Ethics and SSWAA ethical guidelines.
- Accurately maintains records and documentation promptly, in compliance with FERPA and state requirements.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and district policies and procedures that guide school social work practice.
- Oversee and support student intern social works.
- Responsible for reporting child abuse, neglect, and educational neglect.
- Conducts annual training sessions for staff on mandated reporting requirements and responsibilities under the McKinney-Vento Act.
Education and Experience:
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program is required.
- Valid Idaho LMSW license.
- Valid Idaho Pupil Personnel Services Certification endorsed for School Social Worker.
