As the Outreach Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading a dedicated team of outreach specialists committed to addressing homelessness among youth and adults. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Supervises: Oversee the recruitment, management, and supervision of Outreach Specialists, providing in-field supervision to ensure effective service delivery. This is not a desk job; you'll be actively engaging with your team and the community.
- Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with the business community and the Director of Maryland Programs to align priorities and develop policies that achieve the goals set by the Services to End and Prevent Homelessness (SEPH) and other partners.
- Support and Develop: Help team members identify individuals in need, assess their needs, and create treatment plans. Maintain meticulous records using HMIS and Credible systems and conduct trainings for community stakeholders.
- Engage and Expand: Develop creative partnerships to expand outreach coverage, monitor shared communications, and represent Pathways and the Outreach Team at various venues and conferences.
- Foster Cohesion: Create strong working relationships between staff serving adults and youth, ensuring a unified approach to outreach work.
What We’re Looking For?
- Education: Master’s Degree in a social service or related field, PREFERRED
- Experience: A minimum of 5years in homeless outreach or direct services, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft suite of applications, specifically Excel and Word, excellent presentation skills, and a deep understanding of harm reduction theory and mental health/substance use issues.
- Attributes: Patience, creativity, flexibility, and compassion are essential, along with a passion for working with individuals with complex needs. Bilingual English/Spanish is a bonus!
- Requirements: Driver’s License required. This is a full-time position with occasional evening and weekend work during emergencies.
