LPN Wound Care Nurse

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in wound care management, demonstrating expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating various types of wounds. This role requires compassion, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care. The Wound Care Nurse will be responsible for educating patients and families on wound management and prevention strategies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds and overall health status.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs and best practices.
• Administer wound care treatments, including dressing changes, suturing, and specimen collection processing.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and overall health maintenance.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately in medical records.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in wound care practices and medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program required
• Valid nursing license (LPN) in Florida
• Experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) techniques.
• Proficient in medical terminology related to wound care and nursing practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
