What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Patient Financial Services Representative position at Patient Accounting Service Center, LLC?
- Meet with patients and review bills and explain outstanding balance
- Understand Explanation of Benefits and be able to communicate with patient/Guarantor
- Thoroughly review all notes in patient accounts for potential insurance benefit eligibility.
- Request necessary documents from client to perform insurance billing.
- Contact patients when additional information is required to complete billing.
- Provide thorough, efficient, and accurate documentation and updates in all required systems for each work event.
- Identify root cause of issues and concerns, determine resolution, and refer to Management.
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.
- Make recommendations to implement improved processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Pay range 17 to 19 an hour.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate or equivalent relevant work experience desired.
- Previous insurance/medical billing/customer service experience preferred.
- Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team fostered environment.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multitasked environment.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL POSITION EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with hospital or physician medical billing.
Bi-lingual - must have the ability to speak Spanish.
Medical experience, either practical or classroom knowledge needed.
Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations.
Attention to detail.
Good attendance record.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to perform work in alignment with company mission and values.
Proven PC proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications.
Education: High School Diploma or GED
HOURLY/SALARY: $17-$19Hourly position, eligible for quarterly bonus
SHIFT: Must be able to work any 8 hr. shift, Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
