About the Role
As a Sterile and Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician at Patient Care Infusion, you will play a vital role in preparing customized medications for patients requiring infusion therapies. You will work with both sterile and non-sterile compounds, handling hazardous and non-hazardous substances while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining the highest standards of quality control according to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities :
- Accurately compound sterile injectables, IV medications, and non-sterile formulations such as topical creams, oral solutions, and more.
- Maintain and calibrate compounding equipment, including scales and electronic meters.
- Ensure sterile environments meet cleanliness and safety standards in accordance with USP 795, USP 797, USP 800, and FDA 503A guidelines.
- Handle both hazardous and non-hazardous materials safely and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Participate in regular audits, inspections, and quality control checks.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all compounding procedures.
- Assist with inventory management, ensuring adequate supplies are available for sterile and non-sterile compounding.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacist in Charge and other team members to ensure quality care is delivered to patients.
