Medical Assistant
Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take patient vital signs, record medical histories, and update patient information.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment.
- Administer injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medical office.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification.
- Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting AT LEAST 1 YEAR.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Note: Small private owned Nurse Practioner office. Hire needs to have ability to work in New Hanover & Brunswick County offices.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
