Position Summary:
We are currently seeking reliable and compassionate Home Health Companions/Caregivers to provide non-medical support and companionship to clients in their homes. This role is perfect for individuals who have a heart for caregiving and want to make a difference in someone’s day-to-day life.
Responsibilities:
Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities
- Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry
- Offer support with errands, grocery shopping, and transportation to appointments
- Monitor client’s safety and provide timely updates to the office or family as needed
- Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed (e.g., bathing, grooming, toileting)
- Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate documentation
Previous experience as a caregiver, companion, or similar role preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check (Virginia State Police background screening conducted)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate, patient, and dependable nature
- Must be 18 years or older
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
