Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
• Perform basic administrative duties, including answering phones and handling patient inquiries.
• Assist with specialized procedures in areas such as pediatrics and endodontics when required.

Skills

• Proficient in using Dentrix software for patient management.
• Knowledge of medical coding for insurance purposes is a plus.
• Familiarity with anatomy knowledge relevant to dental procedures.
• Experience with medical imaging techniques, including X-rays and 3D scanning.
• Strong assisting skills to support the dentist effectively during procedures.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for patients.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with patients of all ages, including children in pediatric dentistry settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $16.63 - $17.36 per hour
