Senior Graphic Designer – Print & Production

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer with a strong background in print production and publication design to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, has technical expertise in preparing press-ready files, and can manage multiple projects efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing multi-page print and digital publications, ensuring brand consistency, and overseeing production workflows to meet quality and deadline expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design & Print Production
- Design multi-page print and digital publications.
- Ensure brand consistency across all design deliverables, adhering to established standards.
- Prepare press-ready files, following precise specifications for color accuracy, resolution, and formatting.
- Manage color separations and print production workflows, ensuring high-quality output.
- Review design files for accuracy. Identify typography, alignment, and layout errors before final approval.
Project & Workflow Coordination
- Assist the Creative Director in scheduling and managing design projects to meet deadlines.
- Track project progress; identify roadblocks and proactively propose solutions.
- Coordinate design revisions and approvals with proofreaders, editors, and leadership.
- Maintain organized project assets, ensuring proper file naming, version control, and folder structure.
- Support resource allocation, ensuring team members have what they need to meet deadlines.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Participate in kickoff meetings to ensure designers have clear objectives and deliverables.
- Conduct peer-to-peer design reviews and critiques to maintain quality and strategic alignment.
- Assist in managing external vendors, freelancers, and production partners.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices to enhance team performance.
- Support the implementation of new design processes and workflow optimizations.
Technical & Administrative Duties
- Maintain and update project tracking systems (Jira, Teams, and external request platforms).
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation related to design projects.
- Capture keynotes and action items in design team meetings for follow-up.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience & Knowledge
- 5 years of experience in graphic design, with a focus on print production and publication design.
- Strong understanding of print production processes, including color management, CMYK/PMS/RGB/HEX, vector vs. raster, DPI/resolution, and file preparation.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high-volume production.
- Ability to balance creative execution with business objectives.
Technical Skills
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
- Advanced knowledge of InDesign, including styles, master pages, preflight, and layout techniques.
- Experience with file organization, asset management, and production workflows.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Jira.
