Technical Writer
Milford, MA (Onsite)
Contract
Technical Writing:
1. Research, plan and produce technical documentation in various electronic formats for a global audience.
2. Work with minimal supervision as a contributing member of a multi-disciplinary team that develops content to support laboratory instrumentation and related software.
3. Strong working relationships with Informatics, Projects, Product Marketing, Service, and the global experience team.
4. Experience working with Writing Style Guides set by client and industry standard manuals.
5. Very good editing and proof-reading skills.
6. Ability to explain complex topics in a way that’s useful to their audience.
7. Preferred: Some experience with firewalls and firewall rules including Virtual Private Networks and cloud-based services
8. Good to have: Basic knowledge of public Cloud technologies such as Cloud Networking technologies, ML/AI technologies.
Process Skills:
1. Understanding of SDLC methodologies, such as Agile.
2. Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA Understanding of WCAG and Accessibility principles in context of technical writing (e.g. formatting, compliance rules)
Tools and Technology:
1. Publication Manager
2. XML DITA
3. SDL Tridion Docs
4. X-MetaL
5. GitHub
6. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro DC
Qualification:
1) 4 - 8 years of relevant experience as a technical writer.
2) Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Science/ Technology/ Engineering or Honors in English.
3) Certification(s) in Technical Writing. (Preferred)
Behavioral:
1. Quick learner to adapt to new domain, technology, tools, and processes.
2. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and complete assignments within stipulated deadlines.

Location:
