And we're leaders in that space, with : 8B earned since Patreon's inception30M free new memberships in the first year of launching that option, and10M fans paying each month for exclusive access to creators' work and community.We're continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator products with the best team in the creator economy and are looking for a Staff Frontend Engineer to support our missionThis role is based in New York or San Francisco and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.About the RolePatreon is seeking a skilled and passionate Staff Frontend Engineer to join our Home Team. This team is responsible for shaping the Home experience, ensuring that members seamlessly discover and engage with creators’ content. You'll be the Web expert on a cross-functional team already staffed with backend and machine learning engineers, working together to optimize content discovery and engagement.Your primary focus will be to build and refine high-quality, performant, and personalized experiences in the Patreon web app, ensuring that fans stay connected with the content that matters most to them.Your Responsibilities Will Include : Architect and develop new features for the Home feed, improving discoverability and engagement.Work closely with backend and ML engineers to integrate ranking and recommendation systems into the web experience.Partner with product, design, and data teams to create seamless, user-friendly experiences.Optimize frontend performance, ensuring smooth and efficient content delivery.Run client-side A / B tests to measure impact and iterate on product improvements.Continuously refine the web codebase, adopting best practices and modern development patterns.About You6-7 years of experience developing web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, or similar).Strong understanding of scalable frontend architecture and state management.Experience with performance optimizations, caching strategies, and responsive web design.Passion for building seamless, intuitive user experiences.Solid communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.Eager to take on new challenges and expand your skill set.Bonus PointsExperience working on content feeds or other discovery surfaces.Background in large-scale web app development with modern architectural patterns.Contributions to open-source web projects or personal side projects.About PatreonPatreon powers creators to do what they love and get paid by the people who love what they do.
