POSITION : Director of Sales, Hospitality (Events)
COMPENSATION : $130-140,000 base Bonus (OTE : $160-180,000) 1% for every $1 over target

SUMMARY :
Our client is seeking a dynamic and service-oriented Director of Sales, Hospitality & Events to lead their unit-level sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the growth and development of social and corporate event sales, driving strategies to achieve and maintain sales goals, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team. RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Team Leadership : Manage the unit-level sales team, including hiring, training, motivation, and providing real-time guidance, development, coaching, and feedback
- Industry Expertise : Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the corporate and social events industry, staying abreast of current trends and the competitive landscape
- Sales Strategy Development : Create effective sales programs to enhance brand awareness, promote a positive business perception, and improve lead conversion rates
- Collaborative Planning : Develop annual pricing and sales strategies in collaboration with the company's co-founder, preparing and presenting annual and quarterly sales targets and strategic plans for corporate and association bookings
- Product Development : Collaborate with culinary, operations, and marketing departments to create new and maintain existing event products
- Data Analysis : Regularly track and analyze all sales and revenue-related data, including lead volume and quality, event financial metrics, and sales manager performance KPIs
- Networking : Attend local networking events and conferences to build local awareness and expand the network
- Relationship Management : Oversee and manage relationships with Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and other industry associations in conjunction with unit-based sales managers
- Business Development : Leverage existing contacts to drive business while continuously networking to develop new and profitable relationships through internal and external events, site visits, and off-site client entertainment
- Account Growth : Maintain ownership and oversee the growth of new business accounts to contribute to the overall success and incremental growth of the department
- Marketing Collaboration : Work closely with the marketing department to drive strategy and revenue, including the creation of sales collateral and marketing materials to assist in the overall sales process from lead generation to booking
- Operational Coordination : Collaborate with the General Manager and events team to ensure the successful operation of the department
- Menu Development : Partner with the Executive Chef / Chef de Cuisine and General Manager on continued menu development and custom menus when needed
