What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Coordinator position at Patrick Ahearn Architect?
Patrick Ahearn Architect is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join the firm’s 15-person Back Bay studio. This is a full-time in-office role – hybrid and remote candidates will not be entertained.
Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Publicity, the Marketing Coordinator is a highly organized executor who has some experience with social media and graphic design and who is comfortable navigating through ambiguity. The ideal candidate has 3-4 years of marketing experience either in a fast-paced agency setting or in-house supporting a high-end residential design or luxury brand business. Your positive attitude and ability to “figure it out” when you don’t know the answer will take you far as part of our team.
SOCIAL MEDIA RESPONSIBILITIES
Social community Management
- constantly monitor our posts, removing marginal comments
- Respond to positive comments
- Watch for and engage with larger accounts
- Repost partner Stories into our Stories, working to give equal visibility
- Like all DMs related to Stories
- Monitor for odd activity
At Home with Patrick Ahearn Contests
- Run contest quarterly, select winners, plan as part of the content calendar
- Organize all contest winners for Patrick to sketch
- Arrange for videography and facilitate production, providing direction
- Post contest videos once complete
Other Social Channels
- Manage LinkedIn Account - this represents an area of growth for the firm
- Own Facebook account for the firm - account is largely stagnant - watch for inappropriate activity
PR/EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce and send quarterly email marketing to our list, designing, producing and emailing the content
- Procure and produce marketing materials and premiums including hats, pens, booklets for recruiting, PAA notecards, etc
- Attend events with Director of Publicity on behalf of Patrick Ahearn Architect - become a part of the industry
PHOTO SHOOT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate on shoot days for larger projects - may involve occasional travel
- Look, listen and learn the process
AWARD RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design award dossiers, manage production, and physically enter all competitions for the firm including Best of the Vineyard, Best of the South Shore, Bulfinch, Palladio, Arthur Ross, Ocean Home, and more
- Promote user-voted awards like Best of the South Shore and Best of the Vineyard on Instagram to get out the vote with our enthusiasts
WEBSITE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage patrickahearn.com (new website is in development)
- Add portfolio pieces to the website as new photography is available
- Add press pieces to website as new coverage is published
- Cycle relevant blog posts with the seasons
- Update work in progress page seasonally with our best projects
- Stay in touch with our 3 party hosting firm re website health
- Ensure domains are renewed annually
RECRUITING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage presence for Patrick Ahearn Architect at university career fairs
- Lead student outreach and interview scheduling for interview days
- Assess PAA booth producing new signage and displays
- Design and procure premium/marketing materials for students
- FedEx all materials for career fairs
- Monitor other career days to assess whether we should participate
- Post and promote job listings for the firm using really, LinkedIn, socials, website
ANNUAL END OF YEAR HOLIDAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cull the list of clients for annual holiday card
- Design, produce, and mail holiday cards
- Ideate, procure, and produce the annual holiday gift with an eye towards wow factor and bang for the buck
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Expert user with MS Office suite including PPT, XLS and Word
- Must be comfortable using a PC and using cloud-based file sharing
- Familiarity and comfort with Indesign, Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat
- Ideal candidate has worked with Meta Business Suite, HubSpot, Canva and CapCut or Splice
