At Patrick Allen Companies, we're hiring a results-driven and ambitious person to become a full-time Commercial Business Development Representative and play an integral role in our continued success and growth. This position can be based in Birmingham, Cullman, Decatur, or Huntsville, AL. Depending on experience, you earn $90,000-$100,000 a year based on Productivity. The pay structure breaks down to $50,000-$65,000 base pay a year plus commissions. That's all on top of our incredible benefits, which include:

YOUR DAY

You normally work from Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm.

As a Commercial Business Development Representative, your role is crucial to our business's short- and long-term success! You're responsible for traveling to new facilities, plants, and distribution centers and promoting our services to potential clients. With an upbeat and motivated attitude, you engage in prospecting activities like cold-calling, social selling, emailing, and networking to find leads and an ideal audience.

You perform market research to identify trends and will learn the Sandler methodology to guide your Patrick Allen Companies sales strategies. When an opportunity is qualified, you collaborate with the project management team to create, review, and implement proposals. You're motivated to smash your targets consistently and conquer your territory!


REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years of experience in sales and prospecting new business
  • Computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) practices and ability to maintain professional relationships
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel daily in territory and occasionally overnight
  • Self-starter attitude with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Problem-solving skills, ability to take constructive feedback, and desire to improve
  • Ability to make sales calls on active construction sites, in unairconditioned industrial facilities, and working outdoors

A college degree would be preferred. Sales experience in the manufacturing or industrial sectors would also be a bonus.
