Service Writer/Advisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring that their automotive service needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. This role requires strong customer service skills, a solid understanding of automotive repairs, and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and technicians.

Duties

• Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
• Document customer concerns and service requests accurately in the system.
• Provide detailed explanations of services required, including brake repair, tire service, and general automotive diagnostics.
• Prepare work orders for technicians and ensure that all necessary parts are available for repairs.
• Maintain communication with customers throughout the service process to provide updates on vehicle status.
• Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently.
• Collaborate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Assist in sales efforts by promoting additional services or products that may benefit the customer’s vehicle.

Requirements

• Previous experience in automotive sales or service writing is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on building rapport with clients.
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems, including brake repair, tire service, and diagnostics.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A background in mechanics or automotive repair is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
