Patrick & Henry Community College is a comprehensive two-year institution committed to student success, lifelong learning, initiating an atmosphere of care via our caring campus model, and enrichment of the quality of life in the region it serves. Serving Martinsville, Henry County, Patrick County, and the southern portion of Franklin County, P&HCC is a comprehensive open-door institution, accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the associate degree. Patrick & Henry offers 29 associate degree programs, 12 certificate programs and 38 career studies certificate programs. The college also delivers a variety of nontraditional programs such as customized workforce development training, industry-recognized certifications, developmental and transitional programs, and courses for personal enrichment.

Purpose of Position: The Enrollment Navigator assists prospective and current students throughout the enrollment process. This role helps individuals entering the student services area by guiding them through enrollment procedures from point of interest in enrolling at P&HCC to applying for graduation. This individual will connect prospective and current students with the relevant offices that support their educational goals including admissions, financial aid, advising, coaching, and other campus departments. Additionally, the navigator will proactively connect with prospective students through the Salesforce Customer Relations Management system, offering guidance, outlining enrollment next steps, and answering any questions they may have. The ability to learn and adapt to new technology and work in diverse environments is essential. The ideal candidate will be caring, organized, communicative, and flexible.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Bachelor Degree in education, psychology or other related field.
- Ability to perform office tasks independently.
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with the public, students, faculty, and staff while providing excellent customer service
- Demonstrates competency in computer software utilization including PeopleSoft, word processing, database management spreadsheet applications and electronic mail.
- Ability to operate current office machines such as fax, printer/copier, computer, scanner, and telephone system.
- Ability to support department needs and functions as directed.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively, orally and in writing, with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
- Effectively demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to process and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to compose business correspondence utilizing proper grammar and punctuation.
- Working skills to operate office equipment including automated equipment, as required to accomplish the work.
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed work with numerical data and prescribed procedures; collect and organize material for reports by determining what is available and what should be included to present the information in a prescribed, organized format; and communicate with others effectively.
