The position of Paralegal supports our growing business and executive leadership team. In this role you will provide high-level legal and administrative support to the Legal Department in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. This role demands impeccable attention to detail, organizational excellence, and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information. The Paralegal will act as a critical liaison between the Legal Department, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist members of the Legal Department with the preparation, review, and management of legal documents, including contracts, corporate filings, regulatory submissions, litigation hold notices and subpoena responses.
- Conduct legal research and provide concise summaries of findings related to corporate, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Prepare corporate filings, annual reports and registrations for various subsidiaries throughout the United States.
- Complete legal drafting of a variety of agreements, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Employment Agreements and Separation Agreements for review and approval of counsel.
- Ability to support and work cross-functionally with various business units.
- Coordinate the execution and tracking of legal agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and deadlines.
- Ability to organize litigation and claim files electronically and in paper format for retrieval of documents in a concise manner.
- Working knowledge of obtaining electronic signatures through DocuSign.
- Liaise with external counsel and various departments to ensure smooth and efficient legal operations.
- Maintain and organize the Legal Department’s calendar, including deadlines, filings, and meetings.
- Draft correspondence, memoranda, and legal documents as directed.
- Oversee the filing system to ensure proper storage and retrieval of legal documents and records.
- Administer the processing for payment of external legal service provider fees.
- Assist with special projects, as assigned by the Chief Legal Officer.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal certification required.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Paralegal, preferably in a corporate or law firm setting.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, litigation and contract management.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and adaptable approach.
- Strong tact and diplomacy; ability to work effectively with staff on all levels.
- A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualities.
