Patrick Industries Corporate IT department is seeking a Mid-Level IT Support Analyst to join their growing team! This position is critical to the success of the organization's IT operations, providing advanced technical expertise and leadership across systems, networking, and security functions. The Mid-Level IT Support Analyst will provide onsite support to users, troubleshoot reported issues, and participate in organizational IT initiatives.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Act as a technical support for Tier 1 inquiries and issues, answering questions from users and resolving basic issues.
- Manage and maintain enterprise IT operations, including system administration of operating systems, security tools, applications, and servers.
- Assist in enterprise software upgrades, cloud migrations, or virtualization projects using VMware or Azure.
- Conduct site surveys using specific tools and software to assess environmental conditions and prepare for installations
- Monitor and troubleshoot advanced networking infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security compliance.
- Firm understanding and knowledge of cybersecurity measures, including vulnerability assessments, and security audits.
- Automate routine processes and tasks using scripting tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Ansible to enhance system efficiency.
- Manage cross-functional IT projects, collaborating with Business Unit Directors to meet business objectives and timelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with third-party vendors, negotiating solutions for software bugs, upgrades, and break-fixes.
- Ensure compliance with IT best practices and policies while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–5 years of advanced IT support and system administration experience.
- Industry-recognized certifications preferred, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or CCNP.
- Experience troubleshooting complex issues in high-availability network environments, including both copper and fiber networks.
- Ability to work with advanced network technologies focusing on security, performance, and high availability. Experience with network types such as WAN, LAN, VLAN, and technologies like VoIP and QoS.
- Knowledge of designing and implementing structured cabling systems. Familiarity with connector types such as RJ45 and fiber media, cable troubleshooting, testing with OTDR, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of ANSI/TIA-568 cabling standards, ensuring compliance and quality in network infrastructure projects.
- Advanced expertise in system administration, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and enterprise cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Strong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
- Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead IT projects, manage competing priorities, and deliver measurable results.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- A self-starter with high adaptability and personal integrity.
