Patrick Industries is hiring Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join our team. The facilities Maintenance Department looks after all machinery in the manufacturing plant. The position is responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, troubleshooting, repairing and performing maintenance on a different type of Hydraulic and Pneumatic machinery, PLC’s and Electrical Systems.
The Maintenance Technician role will encompass a hands-on approach and be responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing routine preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, and emergent maintenance and troubleshoot issues as they arise on our machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment all while developing a preventive maintenance program and culture

Responsibilities:
- Repair machinery throughout the plant
- Responsible for working in a lead capacity within the maintenance department of a two shift, high volume manufacturing facility
- Coordinate and direct manufacturing team members to achieve efficient completion of repairs and preventative maintenance
- Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery
- Schedule and prioritize maintenance needs to ensure coverage for unexpected breakdowns and to maximize department efficiency
- Work with Plant Leadership to establish maintenance standards, procedures, and programs to ensure efficient operations
- Design and implement reactive maintenance log to capture real costs associated with the maintenance of equipment
- Observe manufacturing process to propose and develop ways to implement automation and increase production efficiency
- Evaluate skills and abilities of production team to cross train and develop basic PM program through the shop floor
- Project management of capital purchases and process improvements; including the automation of processes
- Maintain budget while inventorying parts and ordering replacement parts for equipment
- Develop an inventory management strategy for the maintenance crib
- Develop 5S practices to implement a visual environment
- Purchasing repair parts and maintaining inventory of tools
- Works with vendors to secure estimates and cost quotes as needed
- Identify, develop, and implement safety initiatives in support of business needs
- Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Assisting in the installation of new and used manufacturing equipment.
Job Qualifications:
- Experience with Hydraulic
- Experience in Pneumatics
- Knowledge and Experience in Electronics (PLC, Relay logic a plus)
- Strong mechanical ability
- Adept ability to troubleshoot situations
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
- Comfortable with heights
- High School Diploma
- Additional Education preferred NOT required.
- 3 years’ experience in Industrial Maintenance

- Calibration of equipment or machinery
- Routine inspection and testing of equipment and machinery – this needs to be planned to ensure minimal disruption of processes.
- Preventative maintenance tasks to try to minimize unexpected issues with equipment.
- Responding to alerts and operation messages – carrying out corrective procedures and repairs in line with SOPs and maintenance protocols.
- Clear documentation of both routine checks and repairs needed, in line with both internal and external protocols and procedures.
- Maintains logs of any downtime within the manufacturing system
- May be involved in training of production staff of routine maintenance procedures.
