To respond to expanding project opportunities, Patriot Broadband is currently looking to hire an OSP Field Ops Supervisor to increase our field presence and assure quality execution of our strategic projects.
The Field Ops Supervisor oversees field operations, coordinating all phases of network construction and network upgrade for various types of telecom projects. Coordinate and supervise field execution crews and maintain consistent upward reporting to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications; provide quality control and accurate work documentation. You will demonstrate and develop new skills, work in a safety-minded environment, and join us in expanding technology for a better community. You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful, quality, execution of projects through knowledge of aerial and underground telecom construction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact with client representatives, municipal authorities, and business partners on overall strategic and technical project matters
- Complete job site walkouts and facilitate project meetings
- Develop, maintain and manage detailed project execution plans
- Request, submit, issue and maintain project permits as needed
- Drive field execution through all phases of construction, including scheduling, assignment, resource management, production tracking, reporting, and project closeout
- Support all correspondence between clients, customers, Patriot management, municipal authorities and field crews
- Identify and work to remove barriers to successful completion of the overall project, with particular emphasis on resolving issues with field crews
- Meet deadlines as set by the customer while maintaining a high level of service delivery
- Ensure industry and OSHA standard safety protocols are demonstrated and drive safety accountability throughout all field activity
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge and experience of aerial and underground telecommunications construction methods, practices and testing methods, including HFC architecture and FTTX infrastructure and OTDRs.
- Ability to understand and comprehend network blueprints/mappings, maintain fiber matrix sheets, and utilize customer networking software.
- Ability to effectively communicate with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients utilizing telecommunications terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships within the Patriot team members, vendors, and with our clients.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, P2, and SharePoint.
- H.S Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years performing related telecom industry work.
- Previous Supervisory experience preferred.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Criminal background check and drug screening is required.
- Must be able to obtain and keep a DOT medical card.
Work Environment:
Work is conducted in a variety of environmental conditions with a combination of office and field environments. This includes working in extreme weather temperatures and all types of weather conditions.
