We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to oversee Commercial Plumbing projects from inception to completion. This position is for a working on-site Superintendent to manage a small crew of plumbers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently, safely, and within the established timelines. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Coordinate and supervise a plumbing crew to ensure project milestones are met.
- Utilize project scheduling tools such as Procore and Prolog to track progress and adjust timelines as necessary.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and adherence to project specifications.
- Implement quality control measures throughout the construction process to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Facilitate communication between general contractors and other trades.
- Prepare daily reports on project status, including any issues or delays that may arise.
- Ensure proper use of tools and equipment on-site.
Skills
- Willing to be trained in construction management software such as Procore and Primavera for effective project scheduling.
- Strong understanding of construction site operations, including safety protocols and quality control measures.
- Experience with underground utility construction projects is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and resolve conflicts efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with using Ohmmeters and other relevant tools for quality assurance in construction projects.
