Patriot Engineering and Environmental is seeking a Regional Business Development Manager for South Central and Southern Indiana markets. Headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, Patriot Engineering and Environmental is an employee owned, diverse engineering firm with a multi-state locations and presence providing geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials testing services and consultation to commercial, industrial and governmental clients. Career Opportunity
This position will be based remotely out of South Central or Southern Indiana and be responsible for geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials testing sales throughout this region incorporating territories such as Greenwood, Evansville, Bloomington, Terre Haute.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a demonstrated track record of sales success in the engineering consulting industry and proven ability to initiate new relationships and maintain existing relationships with clients. This role will contribute to the success of the firm and specific offices such as Bloomington, Evansville and Terre Haute by providing sales support and oversight to the South Central and Southern Indiana area. The successful candidate will thrive on being an integral and collaborative part of the team that is growing Patriot’s future through their time, attention and actions to build a pipeline of work and sustaining client base.
Essential Functions:
Regional Business Development Manager Duties
- Represent Patriot, its core values, services and staff with the highest level of ethics and integrity.
- Leadership and Accountability of business development and sales strategies, plans and activities as well as client and community relationships.
- Initiate, lead and sustain connections and value added conversations with economic development professionals, architects, engineers, developers, owners, contractors, municipalities and attorneys to represent Patriot’s full breadth of services.
- Source, develop and close deals.
- Add value to clients by providing dual-benefit solutions, linking to other business drivers, bringing efficiencies to project and suggesting ways to achieve regulatory compliance/best practice.
- Responsible for sustaining and improving relationships with clients, including the expectation to cross-market or refer other Patriot services – providing support in securing new clients and opportunities for the growth of the firm.
- Work directly with business development / marketing team, practice leads, branch managers, owners and staff to understand, coordinate and deliver Patriot’s business development objectives.
- Manage and participate in industry events, trade shows and business development functions to represent Patriot.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 5 years of demonstrated experience selling GEO, CME and ENV consulting services, or equivalent experience preferred. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
- Proven track record of successful networking and marketing skills indicating ability to build and maintain relationships and connect with industry leaders.
- Ability to listen to understand needs of prospective and current clients and align those with Patriot’s array professional services.
- Excellent time management skills - understanding and setting priorities to realize value added and focused activities and deliverables.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in planning and realizing stated sales plan/goals.
- Demonstrated professionalism, energy and enthusiasm as a company representative.
