Patriot Enterprises LLC is looking for a Project Manager to join our team. This person will lead the successful execution of a variety of Visitor Operations Services tasks at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC). In keeping with the solemnity of the surroundings and the persons they will be assisting, the Project Manager shall have the ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, a high degree of courtesy, and the skills to provide accurate information in a clear, concise, and timely manner. The Project Manager will be cognizant of rules, regulations, and etiquette applicable to funerals, ceremonies, cemetery visitation, and other activities occurring at the site.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities who thrives in fast-paced environments. On occasion, the position requires weekend and holiday hours, as ANC is open 365 days a year.
Responsibilities:
- Actively monitor and surveil the performance of contract employees to ensure requirements and deliverables of the contract are met and exceeded. Immediately correct any issues or concerns
- Reconcile customer service-related matters by directly engaging with visitor(s) and/ or coordinating a proper response with the government Contract Officer Representative (COR) to ensure a positive resolution
- Complete administrative tasks such as: monthly status reports, reimbursement reports, accident reports, employee status reports, timesheets, payroll, maintain personnel files, and signing timesheets
- Create methods and systems to streamline daily tasks, such as a standard operating procedure for getting new hires orientated to the site and completing their required training
- Oversees the execution of mission support, which includes organizing meetings with COR, Law Enforcement, Site Managers and Staff; creating mission plans; training staff on their role in mission support; creating detailed timelines, check lists and troops to task
- Resolve conflicts between employees through verbal and written counseling, mediation, and guidance with the intent to teach, coach, and mentor
Qualifications: The candidate shall, at a minimum, possess the following:
- A baccalaureate degree in business management, tourism management, or other field relevant to managing visitor operations of a large public facility, national park, or similar venue; OR a minimum of two years of post-secondary education and five years of professional experience supervising visitor operations or similar services at a large public venue or government facility
- Strong preference of at least 15 years of service in the US Army attaining the rank of E7 or E8 with a strong background in operations
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage 50 personnel under challenging conditions and a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to effectively manage all personnel matters
- Possess a state motor vehicle license, auto related insurance policy, and clean motor vehicle record as defined by the Government
- Must possess a valid U.S. state driver's license and have a safe driving record that shall have no accidents or moving violations in the past 3 years and no Driving Under the Influence convictions.
- Successfully complete and maintain favorable background checks
- Submitting to and successfully completing and passing drug tests including pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, accident related, random, and follow up testing
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
- Excellent computer proficiency skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with Government contracting and processes, including subcontractor management
- Demonstrated experience in effectively briefing senior leaders and officers
- Demonstrated experience in effectively managing teams to meet contractual obligations
- Advanced skill set in time management and task prioritization
- Ability to multitask within and across contractual requirements
- Experience in handling/safeguarding PII
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
