Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team. In this role, you will initiate and guide members through the mortgage loan process through warm lead transfers and callbacks - providing expert consultation to help them find the best financing solutions using first mortgage products, including fixed Home Equity options. You will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and verifying mortgage applications while building strong relationships. Your efforts will directly contribute to achieving sales goals and growing Patriot’s reputation as a trusted mortgage lender within our community. Our community includes Franklin County PA, Washington County MD, and Berkeley, Morgan and Jefferson Counties in West Virginia. This position earns base salary plus commissions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Member Engagement: Respond promptly to leads, referrals, and member inquiries, delivering clear and thorough explanations of mortgage options, qualifications, and the loan process.
· Application Management: Review applications, analyze credit and income, assess repayment ability, and ensure compliance with investor and GSE guidelines.
· File Preparation: Collaborate with mortgage loan specialists to gather necessary documentation and prepare files for underwriting submission.
· Approval & Closing: Manage mortgage approvals and denials, review commitment terms, and monitor files to meet turn times, rate lock deadlines, and closing dates.
· Compliance & Standards: Adhere to all credit union policies and industry regulations, including BSA, OFAC, HMDA, and TRID requirements, while consistently applying Patriot’s Service Standards and Core Values.
Qualifications:
· Experience: 3-5 years of experience in first mortgage originations or a related field. Preference will be given to those with a current or prior NMLS number or proof that the 20-hour prerequisite course has been completed.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency with Automated Underwriting Systems and mortgage loan origination software.

Pay: $54,000.00 - $81,000.00 per year
