Position Summary:
The Fire Protection Project Manager is responsible for overseeing fire protection projects from inception to completion. This role requires individual to be hands on. This role involves managing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and successful project delivery. The Project Manager will coordinate with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of fire protection projects, including design, installation, inspection, repair and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Lead project teams and allocate resources effectively.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire codes and safety regulations.
- Oversee procurement of materials and manage inventory.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and resolve issues.
- Prepare and present project reports and updates to Operations Manager.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
- Manage project documentation and ensure proper record-keeping.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in fire protection systems or construction project management.
- Fire department or military experience considered
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and local fire safety regulations (preferred but not required)
- Review and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate project execution.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- OSHA certification (preferred but not required).
- NICET certification in fire protection (preferred but not required).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to visit project sites, which may involve standing, walking, lifting, climbing ladders, and exposure to construction environments.
- Clean 7-year MVR
- Negative Drug Test
